Title: The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time

Rated: 8/10

'The Curious Incident of The Dog In The Night Time', by Mark Haddon, is about a 15-year-old boy named Christopher Boone with Aspergers Syndrome. Aspergers is on the autism spectrum, and is sometimes known as high functioning autism. People with Aspergers have difficulties with social skills, change and may have an obsession with a particular subject. People with Aspergers experience the world differently and are very sensitive to different sounds, sights, feelings, tastes and smells.Christopher is the main character in the novel. It all starts when Christopher is walking his street aimlessly at night when he comes across a dead dog named Wellington. Christopher decided to write a murder mystery novel about it and he comes across some interesting information, like finding out his mother is still alive. Christopher is not like the normal 15-year-old. He notices things we don't, like how many grooves we have in our shoes or the rips in our tights, he is great at maths and bad at being sociable and reading peoples emotions. He finds out his father killed Wellington, gets arrested and runs away to London to find his mother.

Christopher goes to a special school where he has an aided helper; he sits his maths exam just like any other 15-year-old, but he cannot read peoples faces, their expressions or their emotions. Christopher does not like people touching him or talking too fast.

I would recommend the book to anyone who was interested. The book should be rated PG as there are a few swear words here and there but there is nothing too over the top, as for the age I would say 13 - 15 maybe even older.

I would give it a rating 8 out of 10 (10 being the highest). Only because I think there were things that were not said, like the fact that Christopher has Aspergers that is never actually stated in the text of the book, so someone with no prior knowledge of the syndrome would know nothing about it.

I have read this book and I think it is very interesting it is really cool how he puts his chapters in prime numbers.

I really liked this book. My dad read it and then passed it onto me, he enjoyed it too. It is about a 15 year old boy named Christopher who has Asbergers syndrome. It shows is outlook on the world and talks about how he feels different to other people his age. He is passionate about Prime Numbers and connects them with a lot of things un-math related. He also connects emotions with colours which helps him understand other people better. I would give it a 9/10, it was interesting and insightful.

I would recommend it to people of all ages although it would not be that interesting to anyone under 10.

I remember reading some of this book a while ago. I didn't read much, but what I did read I found interesting, like the "5 red cars means a lucky day" thing.
